Every week we log sightings which are of interest or which have caused excitment. To avoid disturbance, locations are generally not disclosed. If you spot something of interest on the estate, please let us know and we'll post your observations here.

April 2007 - June 2007

3rd JunePine marten running along road at Glenmore.

8th June Large shoals of sprats making the surface of the sea boil and attracting a frenzy of feeding birds off the north and south coasts. Possible whale sighting.

14th June Otter swimming just off rocks below Fascadale Cottage.

Throughout another week of great weather the following arrivals marked the arrival of summertime in the west of Scotland.

29th April Corncrake calling.

27th April Cuckoo calling.

25th April Pair of golden eagles seen courting – tumbling through the air and grasping talons before finally landing together on a rocky outcrop.

20th April First Swallow spotted.
