The cottage is on a peaceful private road just outside the village of Kilchoan. A gentle stroll through the fields leads to ancient Mingary castle, steeped in history - and home to a family of barn owls.
Morning sunrise over Ben Hiant heralds a wonderful dawn chorus, the area is home to flocks of garden birds, as well as more exotic species such as the elusive and endangered corncrake. The rich pickings attract a number of birds of prey, and pine marten sightings are commonplace.
Being so close to the village you can walk to the pub for dinner, the café for lunch, or catch the ferry for day trips to Mull and Tobermory.
However you spend your day, evenings are best enjoyed in front of the open fire.
The two bedrooms have twin beds, and the kitchen and utility have microwave, cooker, washing machine and fridge with freezing compartment.
