Fascadale Cottage

Sleeps 6

The cottage is built right on the coast on the ruin of a netsman’s bothy. The view to the mountains of Eigg, Muck, Rum and the Cuillins of Skye is spectacular as are the green and turquoise waters of Fascadale bay.

The bay itself is stunning. Banks of rounded stones, cast up by countless storms, line the shore. At low tide a beach of pale sand is exposed, which gives the waters their colour. This is where the boats landed their catch, to be stored in the ice house, which remains to this day.

In summer you can watch the sun setting behind the islands and listen to the gentle swell of water - or in the winter months enjoy crashing waves, swirling spindrift and the crackle of the woodburning stove.

The cottage has two twin rooms and one double, all of which have en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen has cooker, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher and fridge-freezer.
